Earth Hour Effected TNB Revenue

For Malaysian, Earth Hour this year is a successful story compare to sad attempt in previous year. Major landmark like KLCC, Penang Bridge, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, KL Tower and many more show their support.

But, the most important fact is, TNB today announced they loss 550 megawatts of electrical usage during that 1 hour period. That’s reflects approximately around RM 200,000 revenue loss.

* TNB have different tariff for residential, commercial, heavy usage, low voltage customer and so on but on average it’s around RM0.35 per 1 kW
